How to remove nail polish from carpetOne of the worst things that can happen when you are polishing your nails is to spill nail polish over the carpet. Fortunately, there are some easy ways to clean the carpet and to manage with these unpleasant and hard to remove stains.

When you spill nail polish on your carpet it is very important to react as soon as possible before it get dried and hardened.

You will need the following things to clean the stain: towels, polish remover or acetone, soap and warm water.

The first step of the cleaning process is to absorb as much as possible of the stain with a towel. Be sure that you are not rubbing the stain because this will make the situation worse.

After this put a small amount of acetone or nail remover directly on the stain, take a towel and dab until the stain starts to disappear. Be very careful when you use acetone because it can damage the color or surface of your carpet. You can also use a window cleaner instead of nail polish remover. No matter what you choose to use, the main purpose is to block the stain.

The third step is to mix the soap (we recommend a dishwashing soap) with warm but not very hot water. Apply the mixture on the carpet where the stain was and wash it carefully.

The final step is to dry the carpet and wait to see if the stain has completely disappeared. If not – repeat the procedure again.
