How to clean the fridge?

Surely the fridge is one of the most loved appliances in every home! But milk spills, rotten vegetables and fruits, spots from different sauces or jelly’s stains… they all are unpleasant and if they stay for too long, your refrigerator won’t smell really nice. The place where we keep our food safe and fresh has to be clean and well-kept. The frequency of the cleaning of every fridge is subjective and it depends on what is stored in it, and how it is stored. However we suggest you to do it at least 1 or 2 times a month.

What to do you need to clean well your fridge?

One of the easiest but most effective ways to clean your fridge is to use vinegar, water and wipes. If there are some stubborn stains, you will need also soda bicarbonate to clean them but first you can try using a mixture of equal parts of water and vinegar to wipe the interior parts of your refrigerator.

To clean it perfectly, first of all take all the things out of it. See if there is some already inedible or aged food which should be thrown away.

To wash the shelves carefully you have to take them out of the fridge. It will be also easier for you this way to scrub them in the sink with a sponge and warm water. Leave them to air-dry and then put them back in the fridge.

After cleaning the fridge, you can use a natural or homemade air freshener to keep your refrigerator fresh and pleasant.

If bad odors appear back in your fridge after cleaning check again that you haven’t forgotten something in it and take quick measures to find where the smell comes from so that you can remove it. Remember that it is very important to clean the fridge often every month using natural products.
